“Yoga! Drink a lot a lot of water, once you're done. Drink more. I have porridge for breakfast with lacto free milk, some flax and raspberries or blueberries... leave out the high fodmaps eg garlic and onions in bolognese. Can get asafoetida as an onion substitute. Lastly - Go on a walk or bike ride. Bending over like you are picking something up or tying a shoe helps me a lot.”

“I start my day with a cup of warm lemon water. Then a green smoothie. I drink water 20 min before meals. I eat small meals that I cook. I increased the amount of veggies in my diet & cut back on red meat. (By cut back I mean I hardly eat it) Eliminate white sugar & processed foods.”

“Try introducing green veggies. Only small amounts combined with other healthy foods. I lost 121lbs in 18 months with a mostly IBS-D (occasional IBS-C now, used to always be IBS-C) issue. I did some fasting by drinking 3 full glasses of warm tea before eating anything, also tried to remain active... Anytime I would normally sit, some tummy exercises, and I eliminated dairy and unhealthy foods without depriving myself of them (if I want pasta, I'll have 1 small bowl and no heavy carbs for 2-3 days following). Pastas, bread, and certain dairy cause me the IBS-C side.”

“I'm IBS-C and mild exercises and walking help alleviate bloating. since walking is not an option at the moment, I started doing yoga for gas & bloating and that really helps. There are plenty of videos on YouTube for that, you could search for some suitable for you, they don't require much space. Pay attention to the diet also: plenty of water, fiber, veggies and fruits, low FODMAP diet. Best of luck!”

Oh, and don't stress... ya easier said than done, so I just focus on getting the right diet down, supporting with supplements, avoiding certain foods. Getting IBS better helps me stress less so I start with that. Harder to control my stress!”
