Gut-Soothing Fruity Summer Smoothie
Description
Easily digestible fruits like banana are highly recommended for UC, especially since banana is a popular gut-soothing fruit. The bromelain in pineapple, meanwhile, may help reduce inflammation. The apple and spinach add more vitamins and minerals to this already-nutritious smoothie.
Ingredients
½ small banana
½ medium apple, cubed
¼ cup frozen pineapple,
Spinach (a handful or as desired)
½ cup lactose-free coconut yogurt
¼ cup nut or coconut milk
Directions
1. Wash thoroughly and drip-dry spinach.
2. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend to a smooth consistency.
3. Transfer into a tall glass and enjoy cold.
