Meditation and light exercise worked really well for me. Even just sitting and concentrating on taking long deep breaths makes a world of difference. Also kinesiology helped put me in remission and helped a lot with stress and anxiety that comes with UC When I was in my worse flaire, I lived on homemade chicken broth, white rice, bananas, peanut butter sandwiches, and skinless chicken. I avoided caffeine and drank lots of herbal teas instead. Once I started to get better, I was able to reintroduce more high fiber foods in my diet.
